Grain-free energy balancer

RiceLein is a low glycemic energy balancer for upgrading low-energy rations. Instead of a starch source, easily fermentable fibers and rice germ oils provide quickly available energy. The stomach-protecting properties of linseed make it particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive gastrointestinal tract. By reducing starch and sugar, it can also be fed to horses with muscle problems such as PSSM, tying up and cross crate or horses with PPID (Equine Cushing Syndrome). Since RiceLein is not additionally mineralized, it is suitable as a combination with any basic feed.

  • Low in starch and sugar, gluten-free with high energy density
  • For horses with muscle problems such as PSSM, tying up and cross crate
  • For sport horses that are already receiving large amounts of concentrated feed containing grain
  • For gentle feeding of lean horses
  • For horses sensitive to grain and for digestive disorders (stomach problems!)
  • Suitable for feeding horses with PPID (Equine Cushing Syndrome)

ENERGY SUPPLIER FOR SPECIAL DEMANDS
There are situations in which horses are dependent on a diet that is low in starch and sugar. This includes not only cereal intolerance, the tendency to over-acidity and stomach problems, but also metabolic and muscle problems that can be triggered or exacerbated by the intake of rations that are too high in strength. This includes the polysaccharide storage myopathy type 1 (PSSM). PSSM is a disorder of the carbohydrate metabolism caused by a genetic defect. The horse shows the clinical appearance similar to a cross crate. The symptoms range from repeated irregularities in the gait (without an orthopedic problem) to muscle tremors, reluctance to move, muscle stiffness, sweating and inability to move. Horses affected by PSSM are absolutely dependent on appropriate feeding and husbandry management, as otherwise they can only be ridden to a limited extent or not at all. The change in feeding is of particular importance, as grain-free feeding with a low starch and sugar content is recommended.

FOR FEEDING ALL HEAVY FOOD HORSES
Healthy horses that depend on an additional source of energy in intensive training phases are built up with RiceLein in a way that is gentle on the metabolism. This is especially true for sport horses with high performance requirements; here the training level determines the additional energy requirement. Heavy-fed leisure horses and lean horses can be rebuilt gently if RiceLein supplements the previous ration. Due to its digestible and easily digestible components, it is particularly useful for slender older horses that are dependent on an additional, low-starch energy source due to metabolic disorders such as PPID (= Pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction, formerly Equines Cushing's Syndrome).
